Why we give.
God is generous and calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
Ways To Give
Give Online
Subsplash is our new giving platform. You can give a one time donation, or set up recurring donations. To give simply click on the 0 and type in your own amount. You can even designate where you want your offering to go. There is a processing fee to use this service. You can make the choice to cover this fee, but it is not required.
Give In Person
We still pass offering plate each week in worship. If you would like to give in person, we are grateful for your continued support.
Mail A Check
If you cannot make it to church and do not feel comfortable with online giving, donations, tithes, and offerings can be mailed to the church. Please send to 830 N. Annie Glidden Rd. Dekalb, IL. 60115 with attn to Financial Secretary.
Where Does Giving Go?
When giving money to a church, you should know how that money is being spent. Transparency is important. We have multiple ways to support and the work and mission of the church and to the sharing of the Good News of God's love and care. See the way your money supports the Kingdom of God.
General
Operating
This is our annual budget. This includes salaries and benefits of staff, utilities and upkeep of the church, and all the church's programming. Vacation bible school, weekly worship, digital ministry, community outreach are all examples of programs that are supported by our general operating fund.
Special
Offerings
Throughout the year, we will take special offerings for specific programs or projects. This includes four offerings taken by Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), which you can learn more about here. This offering also includes collecting offerings for natural disasters or other projects brought forth by the mission commission.
Gifts and Memorial/Pastors Fund
Gifts and Memorials is an account that people can give to that is separate from our operating budget. This includes gifts in memorial of someone, or a gift dedicated to a specific project. The Pastor's Fund is a part of gifts and memorials and is used for community financial support. We see a large number of request for rental assistance, Electric and water bills, and gas and attempt to meet peoples needs.
Community Food/Resource Program
For several years we have been partnering with community organizations, like Dekalb County Community Gardens, to provide food and resources to the community. This has also included diapers and adult sanitary products. We take donations to continue and grow our available resources.
